Carboncito

Carboncito is a sweet and playful 5-month-old boy, weighing in at 10 kgs. He was found abandoned in the street, struggling to breathe and suffering from malnutrition and a severe internal infection. Thankfully, he's on the mend, though he lost some fur on his chest, which is slowly growing back. This little charcoal nugget is a joy to have around, with a charming personality that shines through once he gets over his initial shyness with new people. He absolutely adores playing with other playful dogs and has shown he can get along wonderfully with friendly cats and children, as he lives with them in his foster home. His food motivation makes him a quick learner, and he's already a pro on the leash and enjoys car rides!

Ideal Home

Carboncito would thrive in a home with other playful dogs and friendly cats. He's a bit shy initially with new people, so a patient and loving environment will help him blossom.

Ongoing Health

Carboncito is recovering from a past internal infection and has some fur regrowth happening on his chest. He is otherwise healthy and showing great progress.

Training & Support

He is still working on his potty training, but he is doing well on the leash. His food motivation is a great asset for continued training and helping him build confidence.

• Approved adopters will be matched with flight companions (flight angels) for transport.

Transporation

Carboncito is currently located near Bucerias, Mexico. We facilitate adoptions to the US and Canada. Approved adopters will meet their new pup at the airport with a flight companion. During summer months, if a Canadian flight companion is unavailable, transport to Peace Arch Park at the US-Canada border may be arranged.
