Meet Harold, a 5-year-old Goldendoodle weighing in at a solid 62 pounds! Harold's journey to his foster family wasn't the easiest, but with a little patience and a lot of love, he's blossoming into a wonderful companion. He's gone from a shy pup hiding in his crate to a dog who greets his people with a happy tail wag at the door! Harold is a true "Velcro dog," always wanting to be near his favorite humans once he feels secure. He'll happily follow you from room to room, offering moral support as you go about your day.
Ideal Home
Harold can be a bit skittish around loud noises and sudden movements, and he might vocalize his fear. Because of this, he would do best in a home with no children or only older children. He's unfazed by cats and other dogs, so he'd likely fit right into a home with existing pets.
Ongoing Health
No specific health conditions are noted for Harold.
Training & Support
Potty training is progressing well, especially when sticking to a routine, and he's reliable overnight when in his crate. He's comfortable in his crate on his own terms, but he does protest when the door is closed – this is something we are actively working on. Leash training has been a success; Harold walks nicely by your side, though he does get a bit excited when he spots a rabbit! He enjoys long walks but is also content to be a couch potato, making him adaptable to various energy levels in a home.
