Mondo is a stunning 5-6 year old, 50-55lb, neutered Australian Shepherd mix who is looking for an active home to call his own! He has a gorgeous dark charcoal grey coat with a white belly and uniquely spotted legs. Don't let his age fool you; Mondo is an energetic boy who loves to play and needs regular exercise. He's not a couch potato or an apartment dog, but he does enjoy chilling on the couch for cuddles and movie nights after a good day of adventures. He rides well in the car and is a smart, agile dog who is eager to learn.
Ideal Home
Mondo would thrive in a home that can provide him with plenty of regular exercise, whether through walks, hikes, or camping trips. He is not an apartment dog and should not be left in the yard without interaction. He can be an only dog or live with medium to large breed male or female dogs. He can be a part of a family with school-aged children, a couple, or a single person, as long as he is included in daily life. Tie-outs and electric fences are not suitable for Mondo.
Ongoing Health
Mondo is up-to-date on all his shots, is heartworm negative, and is microchipped.
Training & Support
Mondo is potty trained and crate trained. He knows basic commands but is not off-leash trained. He is a smart and agile dog who will learn anything you teach him. While he had issues with fence climbing at a shelter where he didn't get enough exercise, his foster home has not experienced any escape or climbing issues due to regular playtime.
