DANNY

Danny is a sweet senior gentleman estimated to be 12 years old. He's mostly black with a cute docked tail and came to us from a local shelter with no known history. It seems he had a tough start, as he was missing fur due to a flea allergy, had an eye infection, and ear infections. Thanks to vet care and baths, he's already showing so much improvement! Because his ears were recently packed, his hearing is a bit impaired, and he may have some age-related hearing loss. He's an easy-going boy who enjoys gentle companionship.

Ideal Home

Danny would do best in a home with another dog, as he doesn't like to be left alone. He's lived with a cat and did well, but his reaction to smaller critters is unknown. He walks well on a leash and doesn't need a lot of exercise, though he can be a little unsteady on his feet.

Ongoing Health

Danny is being treated for flea allergies, eye infections, and ear infections. His ears were recently packed by the vet, and he is on medication for his eyes. He may have some age-related hearing loss.

Training & Support

Housebreaking is a work in progress for Danny, but he is making good progress. He was initially hesitant about getting into cars but now does so willingly after positive experiences.

Transporation

Danny is currently in a foster home. We serve areas within a reasonable driving distance from the Greater Sacramento area, the Central Valley down to Merced, and Lake Tahoe. Transport may be available depending on volunteer availability within our service areas.
