Zinka

Zinka is a stunning girl with a heart as big as her personality. Equal parts playful and affectionate, she's the kind of dog who will steal your heart and your lap! A true grade "A" cuddler, Zinka's favorite place in the world is nestled right beside or on top of her people. If you're up and moving, don't worry-she'll be close behind, making sure she's always part of the action. Zinka's journey hasn't always been easy. When she first came into care, she was battling mange, parvo, and a fear of people. Today, she's blossomed into a confident, loving companion, and her transformation is nothing short of inspiring. This smart girl is fully potty trained and even rings bells by the door to let you know when she needs to go out. When the weather is nice, she happily uses a doggy door to enjoy some independence. Zinka loves spending time outside-whether lounging on the deck, watching squirrels, or keeping a watchful eye on her surroundings. She'll sometimes bark to alert you to something new, but once you acknowledge her with a quick "I see it," she settles right back down. She takes her "neighborhood watch" duties seriously! Zinka is always up for an adventure and makes a fantastic travel buddy. She loves car rides and enjoys outings to coffee shops, pet stores, and even the occasional brewery visit. She walks nicely on a leash and is happiest when she gets to tag along. Bonus points if the adventure ends with a special treat like a hoof, Himalayan chew, or new toy! Speaking of toys-Zinka does love to chew. She has a talent for "de-fluffing" stuffed animals, after which she proudly carries around their now-empty shells. Recently, she's been enjoying more crinkle toys, which are quickly becoming a household favorite. She gets along wonderfully with her foster dog siblings and plays nicely with dogs of all ages, including younger pups. Zinka has also lived with a cat while she hasn't harmed her feline housemate, she does enjoy a good chase and the cat may or may not encourage it. A home with dog-savvy cats or some supervision would be ideal. Zinka has attended many meet-and-greet events and does great with kids, making her a wonderful family companion. Zinka is fully potty trained and uses a doggy door. She may bark to alert you to something new, but settles when acknowledged. She loves to chew and "de-fluff" stuffed animals.
