Bernie

Bernie is a 1-2 year old, 56-pound bundle of joy who is looking for a human to share his life with! He absolutely beams with excitement for walks and playtime and still has plenty of puppy exuberance. Bernie is a loyal, cheerful, and handsome companion who loves to be by your side.

Ideal Home

Bernie would be happiest in a home without cats or other male dogs. He enjoys playing with female dogs, but his favorite companion is always his person.

Ongoing Health

Bernie's adoption fee includes his spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, dewormer, and his first dose of flea and tick preventative.

Training & Support

Bernie's leash manners and overall obedience are improving daily. He's already proven to be a great hiking buddy!

• We require an application. We can send you a copy by email, you can download one at fopcp.org, or we can arrange a time to fill one out over the phone.
• Adoption fees for dogs range from $150-$200.
• We accept cash, checks, and a QR code on the application allows you to pay by credit card, Pay Pal, or Google Pay.

Transporation

Bernie is located at the Powell County Animal Shelter at 121 Echo Hollow Road, Clay City, KY. We are happy to arrange a meeting at the shelter during or after our open hours at a time that works for you. Shelter hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 am to 3 pm, and Saturday from 10 am to noon. It's always best to make an appointment by calling or texting 859-420-0175.
