Meet Sagie — From Survival to Soft Blankets!
A few months ago, Sagie came to us after living in long-term neglect. Her body told the story of everything she had endured: painful skin infections, severe ear infections, nails grown into her paw pads, and chronic inflammation. She had been uncomfortable for a very long time. But Sagie never stopped being kind. After weeks of treatment, countless vet visits, medications, and the unwavering love of her foster family, Sagie has blossomed into the most gentle, cozy, loving soul. And now, she’s ready for her forever home!
Sagie is an estimated 6-year-old female pit mix who is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. She has an extremely sweet and gentle personality. She loves to be cozy, and her favorite place is right by the fireplace. She will happily be tucked in with a blanket, and she thinks she’s a lap dog! Sagie does the cutest little happy dance when excited, cocks her head when she’s curious (it’s adorable!), and is very food motivated, which will make training fun. She already knows "sit," "paw," and will go to her kennel.
Ideal Home
Sagie gets along well with other animals and has been around dogs, cats, chickens, and even squirrels with no issues. She does not guard food with people, barely barks, and doesn’t jump or lick excessively. However, she will steal food if given the opportunity, so snacks left unattended beware!
Ongoing Health
Sagie's prior medical needs have been fully treated and resolved. Moving forward, she should not require ongoing vet visits related to her past condition—just routine care and allergy management to keep her comfortable. She is currently doing well on Apoquel for maintenance.
