Bashful is a cuddly pup who brings kisses and snuggles to all! He may have fit his name when he first came to the shelter, but he’s completely come out of his shell since then! Bashful greeted his volunteer friends with a waggy tail and was friendly and easy to leash up. He explored the play yard, went potty, and then came back for snuggles. Bashful is so affectionate and loves to put his snoot into your hand, hoping for pets. He's a love bug who gets as close as possible, snuggling in as though you were puzzle pieces. He'll lay right on top of you, stretching out so you can have the best position to scratch his belly. He's a ham with the cutest little piggy snort! Bashful is definitely misnamed; he was excited to have visitors, happy, wagging, and very friendly. He walked great on the leash and has the cutest white speckled socks on his front feet. He was very hungry and enjoyed as many treats as he was given. He would have sat and let you pet him the rest of the day! Bashful is also a day trip favorite, described as loving, gentle, and well-behaved. He was delighted to be anywhere and do anything. Chasing leaves was a blast, and he was extremely well-behaved, staying by his companion’s side in Starbucks while enjoying a pup cup. After his walk, he immediately flopped down for a nap, wanting to be as close as possible. He was shyer earlier in the day, but after an hour out, he was excited to meet people. He's cuddly, easygoing, loving, and a great companion. Bashful shares his kennel with another pup and has been tolerant and independent when meeting other dogs in playgroup.
