Meet Lily! This sweet and loving 5-year-old Shepherd mix is about 65 pounds of pure devotion. Rescued from Mexico as a puppy, Lily has blossomed into a gentle soul who is a little shy at first but warms up quickly. Her favorite pastime is gazing into your eyes while you offer a gentle stroke to her face. Don't let her initial timidity fool you; Lily has a goofy side that shines through when she's excited, especially about food or attention, making her entire body wiggle with tail wags! She adores lounging in sunny spots or near an open door, soaking in nature's sounds and breezes. While Lily enjoys walks, she's also a bit of a homebody and prefers shorter strolls over long, strenuous hikes. Loud noises like fireworks can be frightening for her, and she'll seek comfort in a closet or pantry when they occur.
Ideal Home
Lily would love a home where she can relax and be close to her favorite people. She would likely do well with older children.
Ongoing Health
Lily is spayed, healthy, and up to date on all her vaccines. A couple of years ago, she underwent surgery for a torn ACL, from which she has recovered well. She experienced some joint pain previously, but this has since subsided after she reached a healthier weight.
Training & Support
Lily is house-trained and knows some basic commands, making her a smart and eager learner. Her food motivation can be a great asset for continued training and enrichment.
