Meet Trout! This handsome fellow is estimated to be around 2 years old and weighs 54 lbs. He was rescued from a local shelter's euthanasia list thanks to his amazing foster mom, and we're all incredibly lucky she did! Trout is a surprisingly chill dog who enjoys a good adventure, whether it's a hike or a romp with his furry friends. But once the fun is done, his favorite pastime is flopping onto the couch for some serious relaxation.
He can be a little shy when first meeting new people, taking a few minutes to warm up. He's not one to immediately jump into a stranger's lap, but with a little time, he becomes a loyal and loving companion. Trout is kennel trained, potty trained, walks beautifully on leash, and knows how to sit. He gets along wonderfully with all his foster siblings, big and small, and loves people.
Ideal Home
Trout's dream home will include him in life's adventures, perhaps with camping trips, fishing weekends, and cozy evenings by the fire. Because he gets a little too interested in squirrels and cats on walks, we're unsure how he would do in a home with a feline roommate.
Ongoing Health
Trout is currently undergoing heartworm treatment. He is fully vetted, neutered, and up-to-date on preventatives.
Training & Support
Trout is a very good boy and is already kennel trained, potty trained, and walks well on leash. He knows how to sit. His one tiny flaw is that he absolutely despises taking medicine and will cleverly spit it out, no matter how well it's hidden!
