Picture yourself wandering the winding streets of Milan, Italy full of discovery, excitement, and hidden treasures around every corner. . . like me! I'm Milano, an adventurous young hound mix with a nose for exploration and a heart that's just waiting to bloom. At 6 months old and 33 pounds, I'm a happy puppy learning the ropes. I'm working on house training, crate training, and leash manners, so I'm looking for a family that's ready to invest time, patience, and positive training to help me grow into the best version of myself. The world can feel a little big and scary when I first encounter something new. I may crouch low to the ground or seem unsure at first, but don't let that fool you. Once I realize I'm safe, my happy, playful personality comes bursting out. The people who take the time to earn my trust are rewarded with tail wags, goofy puppy antics, and a loyal companion who loves being part of the fun. I adore other dogs and would thrive with a confident canine friend who can show me the ropes and help me build confidence. I'm also good with older kids who understand that sometimes I need a little extra reassurance. Cats, however, aren't part of my dream Italian villa. Like any true hound, I believe life is best experienced through my nose. Long sniffari walks, outdoor adventures, and plenty of time to investigate every fascinating scent are high on my wish list. A fenced yard would be the perfect place for me to safely stretch my legs and follow my nose. Because I can be vocal, apartment life isn't the right fit for me. I prefer a home where I can express my opinions without worrying about the neighbors. My perfect family will understand that confidence grows with patience. They'll celebrate the small victories, continue my training, and help me discover that the world is full of good things. In return, I'll bring endless smiles, puppy joy, and a sense of adventure wherever we go. From mountain trails to road trips to lazy afternoons in the backyard, I'm dreaming of a life filled with travel, exploration, and a family by my side. All I need is someone willing to take that journey with me.

Ideal Home

A home with a fenced yard where I can safely explore. Apartment living is not a good fit due to my vocal nature. I would also thrive with a confident canine companion and am good with older children. Cats are not a good match for me.

Ongoing Health

My adoption fee includes my spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip.

Training & Support

I am currently working on house training, crate training, and leash manners. I may be initially unsure of new things but warm up quickly with patience and positive reinforcement.

I am located in Springfield, MO. We do adopt out of state. The adopter is responsible for transportation to and from my location.
