Khadija

Khadija is an incredibly sweet and loving girl who enjoys playing fetch and spending time indoors and outdoors with her people. She plays with toys like a puppy and loves de-stuffing her stuffies! Khadija spent time in a foster home and did well accompanying her foster family in public, including to places with patios. She tends to stick near the people she knows best and warms up to others in time. Khadija walks well on a leash and has a good start on potty training. She uses her kennel as a comfy space when her people are home and enjoys lounging and napping in it.

Ideal Home

Khadija would thrive in a calm home with more mature family members. Young, noisy, or busy children can be too much for her, and loud noises and commotion can make her anxious. If Khadija is to join a home with another dog, careful introductions and management of resources like food and toys will be important, including having separate feeding areas.

Ongoing Health

Khadija tested heartworm positive and has received her full course of treatment. She will receive a free recheck in a few months to ensure she is in the clear. She may also have allergies.

Training & Support

Khadija is not a fan of being left in her kennel when her people are gone, so she may need some help with separation anxiety from her new family.
