Bellona is a 4-month-old Pit Terrier/Labrador Retriever mix who is as smart and beautiful as she is loving! She's a thoughtful and independent puppy who still enjoys all the fun of puppyhood, like playing with her siblings, chasing toys, and cuddling up for naps. Bellona is observant, eager to learn, and always ready for a new adventure. She loves attention and affection but is also content to entertain herself, making her the perfect companion for someone looking for a playful yet easy-going dog.
Ideal Home
Bellona would thrive in a home that can continue her positive reinforcement training. Families with young children should be prepared to reinforce polite manners and supervise interactions due to her enthusiastic greetings. Slow, supervised introductions would be recommended for any feline family members.
Ongoing Health
Bellona is up-to-date on all vetting, which includes DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12-month heartworm preventative injection, heartworm test and treatment if needed, and a microchip with free lifetime registration.
Training & Support
Bellona is a quick learner, already knowing "sit" and picking up new commands like "paw," "lay down," and "stay" very quickly. She is highly food motivated, which makes training enjoyable and rewarding. She is doing very well with potty training and crate training and benefits from a structured routine. Bellona is also working on impulse control around meal times and is showing impressive self-control. She is learning appropriate play with older dogs and would benefit from continued guidance and positive reinforcement.
