ASGEIR

Asgeir is a sweet, gentle, and very smart protector! He was originally used for guarding goats and is most comfortable outdoors, as he can get anxious inside. Asgeir is a natural guardian and will keep predators away, especially at night. He has experience with being fenced and, with some training, could protect a larger area. He gets along well with female large breed dogs, but his compatibility with male dogs is unknown. Asgeir is great with kids of all sizes and has never attacked any animal or human. He will politely growl to let other dogs know his food bowl is off-limits, but he's a gentleman who won't touch others' food. He's tolerant of cats, though he may bark at unfamiliar ones.

Asgeir would thrive in a home with plenty of space, love, and an outdoor setup where he can feel most comfortable.

Asgeir is currently under veterinary supervision for a hotspot on his back leg that he frequently licks.

Training & Support

Asgeir is known to growl at other dogs when it comes to his food, but he is otherwise a gentleman and doesn't eat others' food. He may bark at cats he isn't familiar with.
