Jasper is a 3-year-old cattle dog mix who wants to be your constant companion and adventure buddy. He is an intelligent and well-trained dog who comes from a loving home on a large property where he ran free. Jasper will bond to his owner and always stay with you. When he runs off to explore, he frequently comes back to check in, and also has impeccable recall, returning to you at a word or whistle. He is great off-leash and on-leash. Jasper has a secret talent for jumping incredibly high—he can kiss a 6-foot man on the nose and catch flies mid-air! Jasper loves to play fetch; he is incredibly speedy and will bring the ball back to drop it at your feet for more. He also loves other dogs but would be best in a home without another male dog. Along with his bountiful energy and enthusiasm for adventure, Jasper also loves to chill and relax at home. He is an amazing snuggler and loves to spoon. When left home alone, he naps and waits for your return. He is not destructive; in fact, he doesn’t even destroy his squeaky toys! He likes to chomp gently and bring them to you for tug of war and fetch. Jasper has lived in a home with cats in the past, but is a little too interested in them and tends to annoy them with his attention. He can also be wary of children, so he would probably do best in a home without cats or kids. Jasper's current owner is leaving the country and cannot bring him, so we are hoping to find him a new home where his training and sense of adventure will be appreciated and nurtured. If you are ready for a total love bug who will snuggle and accompany you on all your adventures, Jasper is your guy!
