About QUEEN (see also KEARE)

Queen is a beautiful black terrier mix with a soft, expressive face, warm brown eyes, and a gentle presence that shines through even in a new environment. Her coat carries subtle brindle tones that catch the light nicely, and she has an alert, attentive way of watching the world around her. At 1 year old, this sweet girl is right at the doorstep of adulthood, with just a little more growing ahead of her. Queen came to the shelter because her previous owners were no longer able to keep her due to a lack of space in the home. She is a sweet, well-mannered girl who is house trained and already knows sit and stay, and she walks well on a leash, showing a solid foundation of training. Like many dogs adjusting to a new setting, she may take a little time to warm up, but her gentle, eager-to-please nature comes through clearly once she settles in. Queen arrived alongside Keare, and the comfort of a familiar face has likely made this transition a little easier for both of them. Adopters are warmly encouraged to consider giving both girls a home together, where that steady companionship can continue. That said, Queen is also a wonderful, well-rounded dog in her own right, fully capable of thriving as the center of attention in a home all her own. Queen is waiting, hoping for a patient home where she can truly settle in, relax, and show the world the sweet, loyal girl she has to offer.
