Sugar

Say hello to Sugar! This sweet girl is a 50 lb lap dog in the making, but she'll need some time, patience, and a calm presence to earn her trust. In her previous home, Sugar was an outdoor dog in a fenced yard and would sleep inside at night. She lived with grandkids and another dog and got along well with them. Sugar loves to chew, so it's best to have a variety of toys with different textures and sizes available for her. She can be skittish and nervous around strangers, so it's important to go slow when meeting her and let her approach you on her own terms for pets and belly rubs. We encourage all potential adopters, as well as any resident dogs, to meet Sugar at the shelter. Earning her trust and affection will be a truly rewarding experience!
