Yasmeen

Yasmeen is an approximately 8-year-old, 60 lb bundle of love! She was rescued by Mostly Mutts and is now eagerly waiting for her forever family. Yasmeen participated in the Mostly Mutts Prison Pups immersive training program, where she learned a lot and is now ready to share her newfound skills with a loving home. Her foster mom says adopting Yasmeen is like hitting the jackpot!

Ideal Home

Yasmeen would love a home with patient and understanding people who will help her feel secure and build trust. She thrives with attention and cuddles and enjoys playtime, fetch, and car rides. Because she can be a bit unsure of new people and has shown some guarding behaviors in the past, a home with dog-savvy children ages 15 and up would be ideal. She would not do well in a home with a lot of people coming and going or where she might feel rushed. Yasmeen is also not a fan of having her feet held.

Ongoing Health

Yasmeen is current on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed. She is currently taking allergy medication called Zenrelia, which she may or may not need to continue. She sometimes experiences phantom pains in her tail, a common occurrence after amputation, which should decrease over time. She may need to be muzzled for vet visits.

Training & Support

Yasmeen is a proud graduate of the Prison Pups training program and knows commands such as sit, stay, down, come, drop it, leave it, and place. She also has excellent door etiquette, walks well on a leash, and greets strangers appropriately. She is doing well in her crate and has excellent potty manners. Yasmeen alerts bark at strangers passing by and the delivery person. She has worked on her guarding tendencies and it's recommended that new people be introduced outside of her home to help her adjust.
