Hi, I'm Lyka! I'm a sweet 3-year-old pittie mix with a heart of gold, just looking for my forever person. I love to be close to my human, whether that's cuddling on the couch, keeping you company while you work, or simply following you around the house. I'm a happy and easygoing girl who enjoys both playtime and quiet relaxation. I love to nuzzle and stretch out next to you, truly wanting to be a part of your daily routine. I've done my job as a mom, and now it's my turn to be someone's pampered pup!
Ideal Home
I would thrive in a calm home where I can continue to build my confidence and feel secure. A yard would be wonderful for me to relax and explore. I bond deeply with my person and would prefer to be your one and only or part of a loving family. While I can be a little stubborn on walks sometimes, I'm a smart girl who listens well. I may need slow introductions to other animals, and a quieter household would likely be the best fit while I adjust.
Ongoing Health
All of our companions are up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, spay/neuter, flea/heartworm prevention, and are microchipped prior to adoption.
Training & Support
I'm fully crate trained, potty trained, and leash trained. I'm also very well-behaved in the home and know some commands.

- All companions MUST live in your home as part of your family.
- We are not first come, first served, and submitting an application does NOT guarantee adoption.
- You will be contacted by an Adoption Coordinator once your application has gone through the approval process.
- Please ONLY APPLY IF you are ready to commit to adoption.
- The adoption fee is $300, which includes spay, microchip, and vaccines.
Transportation
I am located in the shelter. We do not transport.
