Daisy is a sweet, petite sighthound mix, around 1 year old and weighing 22-24 lbs. She resembles a Pharaoh or Ibizan Hound and has a gentle spirit that has been tested by life. Daisy is a survivor of parvovirus, and though her physical health has recovered, she carries emotional scars. She was recently returned to us because she struggled to adjust to her adoptive home. While she blossomed with the woman of the family, she never felt comfortable with the man, expressing her fear with growls and warning snaps. This extremely timid girl is searching for a committed family ready to embark on a long-term rehabilitation journey with her.
Ideal Home
Daisy needs a quiet, stable home where she won't feel pressured. She is terrified of the outside world and open spaces, and she doesn't like leaving the house or walking on a leash. Due to her intense insecurity, she may show defensive behaviors toward people she doesn't trust, particularly men. A home that understands her needs and allows her to gain confidence at her own pace is essential.
Ongoing Health
Daisy is a parvovirus survivor. She has been spayed and received her DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, as well as internal and external deworming. She also has an ISO identification microchip and a medical history record.
Training & Support
Daisy is extremely timid and insecure. She needs a patient family committed to helping her overcome her fears. She may exhibit defensive behaviors towards unfamiliar people, especially men, so a gentle and understanding approach is crucial.
