Moonpie is believed to be a cattle dog mix approximately 1 year old and currently weighs 34 lbs. She is a rescue dog and with any rescue dog, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age.
Ideal Home
Moonpie has spent time around a cat and, while she can start off calmly, she ultimately finds cats a little too interesting and engaging. For this reason, we are recommending a home without cats.
Ongoing Health
Moonpie has had all her vetting completed, which includes DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, and a microchip with free lifetime registration.
Training & Support
Moonpie is a smart, treat-motivated girl who already knows some basic commands such as sit. She is easy to walk on a leash and is crate and potty trained. She is quiet and has shown to have great house manners, making her an excellent companion for those who work from home. She would also be a great adventure buddy!

Transporation
Moonpie is located in the Houston area. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system, ensuring every pet travels safely and comfortably with 24/7 care. Our transport includes drop off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). You will have the opportunity to track their journey in real time, see photo updates, learn fun facts, and connect with fellow adopters and fosters through our private Facebook event page. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
