Birdie

Meet Birdie! This 2-year-old, 60-pound sweetheart is ready to trade her mama duties for a lifetime of love and cuddles. Birdie was a devoted mother to ten puppies and has now earned her own happily ever after. She's a gentle soul with soulful eyes who enjoys quiet companionship and spending time outdoors. She's good with other dogs, cats, and children, making her a wonderful addition to many families. Birdie does dislike the vacuum, but otherwise, she's a dream come true! She is house-trained and is comfortable in a crate, though she prefers not to be in one.

Ideal Home

Birdie would love a calm environment where she can relax and recover from her heartworm treatment. While she enjoys being outside, she'll need to avoid strenuous activity and "zoomies" for a little while longer to keep her heart rate low during her treatment.

Ongoing Health

Birdie is currently in the beginning stages of heartworm treatment. The rescue is covering all expenses for her treatment and will provide ongoing care.

Training & Support

Birdie is house-trained and knows how to use a crate. She seems to have a general dislike for the vacuum cleaner, but otherwise, no specific behavioral issues were noted.
