Gus gus

Gus Gus is a happy-go-lucky and big goofball of a Catahoula Leopard Dog, almost 2 years old and ready to find his forever home! He's a blue merle with a unique malformed pupil in his blue eye, but otherwise, he's healthy and has been neutered. Gus Gus needs a job to do and is not suited for inexperienced owners. He's too much for young children and small animals and can be territorial. He also dislikes car rides unless he's in his crate. Good news, though – he's crate trained and has had no house-training accidents! He's already started on goats and was successfully baying piglets at 12 weeks old. We believe Gus Gus would truly thrive in a working home where he can have a purpose, as he can become loud and destructive if he doesn't have a job. He's been returned a couple of times, but we are committed to finding the perfect, forever placement for him, and we will be incredibly discriminate.

Ideal Home

Gus Gus needs an experienced owner who can provide him with a job and consistent training. He is too much for young children and small animals and can be territorial. A home that understands and can meet the needs of a working breed will be ideal.

Gus Gus has a malformed pupil in his blue eye. He has been neutered and is up-to-date on vaccinations and deworming.

Training & Support

Gus Gus is crate trained and house-trained. He has a strong herding instinct and has been started on goats and piglets. He needs a job to prevent him from becoming loud and destructive.
