Vega

Hi there, I'm Vega, a 6-year-old, 70-pound, brindle and white Boxer! I'm looking for a forever home where I can be loved unconditionally and someone who can keep up with my adventurous spirit. I'm an extremely loving, smart, and energetic boy who enjoys playing, running, and exploring. My foster mom says I'd be amazing at dog sports because I'm so eager to please, especially with a treat in hand! I'm neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm negative, so I'm ready to bring my boundless energy and loyalty to your home.

Ideal Home

I need a firm owner who will provide me with plenty of exercise and adventures, as I'm definitely not a couch potato! I'm dog selective and require slow introductions to other dogs. Due to my high prey drive, I should not be around cats or other small animals. I do well with children, but an older kid would be best given my size and energy level.

Ongoing Health

I am neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm negative.

Training & Support

I can be crate reactive and have some barrier frustration, but I'm making great progress in learning to manage these behaviors. I also need more practice with leash training, as I tend to pull hard. Tools like a gentle leader might help me learn to walk more politely.
