Gaia June is sweeter than honey. While some dogs are exciting and goofy, Gaia June possesses a calm and sweet presence that instantly makes you exhale with relief. She embodies comfort, with soulful eyes, a gentle nature, and a way of quietly leaning into you, as if to absorb your stress. Gaia has an incredibly grounding energy that makes people fall for her quickly. Her presence in a home makes it feel softer and more peaceful.

Gaia June is believed to be a Lab/Pittie mix, approximately 3 years old, and weighs 76 lbs. She is a rescue dog, and while we cannot guarantee breed or age, we can guarantee she has one of the sweetest, gentlest souls. Being around Gaia feels like receiving a hug after a long day.

Gaia is incredibly affectionate and loves her people deeply. She can be a little shy with new people initially, but a few sweet words and compliments will see her start to melt. Once she feels safe and loved, her affectionate side emerges naturally. She adores leaning into people for hugs and will patiently accept them for as long as you need. Gaia offers a comforting and calming presence, making her a once-in-a-lifetime companion dog. Her mere presence naturally makes your day better.

Gaia has been wonderful with children as young as 7 years old, appearing perfectly content and at ease. Her sweet, gentle personality shone through with a young boy, and she patiently accepted hugs, affection, and attention. She seemed happy to be included and loved on, with her interactions being calm and easygoing, making everyone around her feel comfortable.

She has been very soft, respectful, and easygoing with other dogs. Gaia is dog-friendly and could live peacefully with another dog, but she prefers a peaceful coexistence over boisterous play. She's happiest existing alongside other dogs while focusing her attention on her people. She would likely do best with a calm, respectful dog that matches her easygoing nature and doesn't constantly pressure her for interaction.

Gaia also met our house cat, Biggie, appropriately and was very respectful. She did not chase Biggie, nor was she bothered by his cat-like behaviors. Biggie also seemed comfortable around her. We do not know if she has lived with a cat before, but we can arrange for a sleepover with a cat upon request if you have one.

Gaia is crate-trained, has wonderful house manners, and walks beautifully on a leash. She is a medium-to-low energy dog who doesn't ask for much: a comfy couch, soft voices, love, a few walks, and quality time with her people are her dream life. She has the potential to do well in an apartment or a home with a backyard, as she is an adaptable and mellow companion.

Gaia bonds deeply with her people and adores them. She seems to especially favor men. Because she loves her humans so much, she may quietly wait near doors or gates when her people leave, hoping for their return. This is not unmanageable, but rather a sign of her deep attachments and desire to be close to her loved ones. Gaia isn't the loudest or flashiest dog; she's special in a quieter, deeper way. She is comfort, warmth, and the dog who rests her head beside you on hard days, making things feel a little lighter.

Gaia is located in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our USDA-certified transport system. Drop-off locations are available in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT). You can track your pet's journey in real time and receive photo updates. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
