Walt is a shy, sensitive boy who has come a long way since arriving at the shelter. When he first came in, he was extremely fearful of people and unsure of everything around him. With gentle handling and the steady companionship of his yard buddy, Wilson, Walt has started to blossom. He's learning that people can be safe, and he's beginning to show his sweet, cautious personality to those he trusts. Walt is a 'Build the Bond' dog, which means he will require multiple meet and greets with potential adopters before going home.

Walt thrives in calm environments and appreciates predictable routines. He does best when allowed to approach at his own pace. Because sudden noises and fast movement can be overwhelming for him, Walt would likely do best in a home without children.
