Max is a sweet, 5-year-old Shepherd who is all about love, loyalty, and being close to his favorite people. He's potty-trained, respectful in the home, greets guests politely, and walks nicely on a leash. Max knows "Sit" and "Shake," and has done well with other dogs and a 4-year-old child in his foster home. His favorite thing is spending time with his people, so he would do best with someone who is home often or can include him in their daily activities. Max needed time to adjust and gain confidence when he first arrived in foster care, but with patience and love, he's blossomed into a wonderful companion. His future family should be prepared to give him time to settle in and feel safe. Max may do best with older children, as he doesn't always realize how big he is and could accidentally knock over smaller kids during moments of excitement.
