Lucy is a charming 5-year-old, 31 lb Australian Cattle Dog who is ready to steal your heart! She was rescued by Kind Spirits Rescue Dogs Pet Lifeline when her previous owner could no longer care for her. After being spayed, Lucy was placed in a loving foster home in Texas with 8 other dogs, where she's learning the joys of being part of a family.
Lucy is a delightful Blue Heeler with a personality to match her breed. She’s loyal, observant, and smart, though she can be a tad bossy with some of her canine companions. Overall, she's pretty mellow and easy-going. She absolutely loves affection but isn't a needy pup. Lucy is a champion at fetch and is playful with most dogs, though she might playfully nip at the heels of dogs she doesn't get along with – a true Heeler trait! She has shown no interest in cats so far but can be a little peculiar around small dogs. Lucy walks nicely in public and is a fantastic car rider.
Ideal Home
Lucy would do best with an owner who is familiar with herding breeds. She can be timid around new people and needs a little time to warm up, so patience and understanding are key. Her "Heeler-isms" include supervising everyone, following her people from room to room, and offering dramatic side-eye when judging life choices – a classic trait!

Lucy is spayed, microchipped, healthy, and up to date on all her vaccines and preventions.
Training & Support
Lucy is potty trained, crate trained (though she prefers to be near you), and leash trained. She's a smart girl who picks up on things quickly.
