Gina is a delightful 8-month-old spayed female Belgian Malinois mix, weighing in at a robust 56lbs. She found herself on her own at a very young age, discovered in a cardboard box by a busy road. Despite her rough start, Gina has blossomed in her foster home and is now ready to find a loving family of her own.
Ideal Home
Gina would thrive in an active home with someone who will engage her in daily play and exercise. She enjoys the company of other dogs and currently lives harmoniously with both small (under 15 lbs) and large (over 75 lbs) foster siblings. She's a bit too enthusiastic for cats, so a cat-free home is recommended. Gina has not been around children, but due to her size and tendency to jump when excited, a home with older, dog-savvy children (10 and up) would be best. She would also do well with a couple or an individual who can provide her with the attention she craves. A home with another dog is also recommended to keep her company and help her burn off energy.
Ongoing Health
Gina is a healthy puppy. She is spayed and up to date on vaccinations.
Training & Support
Gina is crate trained and working on her house training, with no accidents when crated for up to 8 hours. She walks well on a leash and does not show signs of separation anxiety. As she is in her "puppy velociraptor stage," she will need guidance on appropriate chewing behaviors. Positive reinforcement training, regular socialization, and plenty of outlets for exercise, play, and enrichment will be key to her continued development into a well-mannered adult.
