A little about them
Hiya! Lucky is a sweet, loving, playful, and happy 3.5-year-old Pittie/Shar-Pei mix. She enjoys affection, belly rubs, playing ball, toys, long walks, and even carrots. Lucky is friendly with strangers and other dogs, and has a medium energy level. After daily physical and mental exercise, she is expected to enjoy relaxing and cuddling.
Ideal Home
Lucky would do best with a confident adopter who can comfortably walk a large, strong dog and provide regular exercise. She is friendly with children and dogs, but should be supervised around children and given space while resting. Cats are not a match, and her prey drive around small animals is unknown.
Ongoing Health
Lucky was rescued malnourished and with mange, but received veterinary care and has fully recovered. She is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. She will travel with proof of her vaccine and test records, and will be tested for heartworm before flying north.
Training & Support
Lucky has good-to-fair leash skills and follows basic commands, though she will need continued leash training. A well-fitted harness and positive reinforcement can help her succeed. House training is a work in progress and will require frequent potty breaks and positive reinforcement. She may play-nip or jump up, so continued training is recommended.
