Sissy - ADOPTED!!

Sissy is a delightful 3-year-old female who is ready to find her forever home! She was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Kentucky after being found dumped on a back road. Despite her rough start, Sissy is incredibly sweet and wonderful with everyone she meets. She gets along great with other dogs and is good with respectful children. Sissy also did well during a cat test, but caution should always be used when introducing new pets. Her foster mom notes that Sissy has a high prey drive and enjoys chasing squirrels, so she might also chase a moving cat. Sissy loves to eat and is quickly gaining weight, so that shouldn't be an issue! She is doing wonderfully with her potty training and is comfortable in her crate. Sissy is a fun-loving lady who enjoys walks, belly rubs, snuggles, toys, playtime, and especially treats! She would be a great fit for an active family and could be your new hiking or jogging partner.

Ideal Home

Sissy would thrive in an active home with a family who can provide plenty of love and attention. Due to her high prey drive, a home where she can safely explore outdoors without the risk of chasing small animals would be ideal.

Ongoing Health

Sissy is spayed and up-to-date on vaccines. She recently tested negative for heartworm disease and is on preventative. She did test positive for Lyme disease and has been treated.

Training & Support

Sissy is doing great with her potty training and crate training. Her foster mom notes a high prey drive, so continued management and redirection around potential prey animals will be beneficial.
