Lucy Lou the Freckled Lovebottom Cutie

There's just something about Lucy Lou! Maybe it's the delicate freckles sprinkled across her little nose, or the way she gazes at you with those big, soulful eyes. But it's most likely the incredibly sweet cuddles she offers. This little lady loves to snuggle right onto your chest, tuck her head on your shoulder, and give you the longest, most heartfelt hug. It’s impossible not to melt! Lucy Lou is approximately 5 months old, weighs around 25 lbs, and is believed to be an American Bully mix. She's a petite pup with big-dog features, and while she'll grow a bit more, she won't get drastically larger. Her current size is perfect for couch cuddles! Lucy has an old soul; she's incredibly gentle, sweet, and affectionate. While other puppies her age might be causing a ruckus, Lucy is usually found napping in the coziest spot. Her foster family jokes that she sleeps a lot, and it’s true! If you work from home, Lucy will likely be curled up nearby, dreaming of snacks and her future family. When she's awake, she's happy to entertain herself with toys and doesn't require constant attention. She has an easygoing nature that makes her a joy to have around, fitting into your day rather than demanding your full focus.

Ideal Home

Lucy Lou is quite flexible and could thrive in a home with a backyard or an apartment/condo. As long as she has people to love, toys, a comfy napping spot, and plenty of cuddles, she'll be a happy girl. We haven't seen Lucy with children yet, but her gentle, affectionate, and easygoing demeanor suggests she could be a wonderful family dog. If you have children, we'd be happy to arrange a meet-and-greet.

Training & Support

Lucy is doing wonderfully with potty training, with every three hours being her sweet spot. She sleeps through the night without any messes or destruction. Her foster family reports she is generally quiet and doesn't require constant supervision when awake, as she entertains herself.

• A $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs.

Drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, and Canada (pickup in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters).
