Hi, I'm Misty Mae! I'm a 38lb Retriever, Spaniel, and Carolina Dog mix with an estimated birthday of 5/14/2023. I'm a sweet, loyal best friend who will love being by your side. I was rescued from a gas station and given a second chance at life, and I've been making the most of it ever since! My foster family says I'm a wonderful house guest. I'm housebroken, kennel trained, and I love having a routine. I'm also pretty smart and food-motivated, which means I'm always excited to learn new things... especially if snacks are involved! One of my favorite things is spending time with my people. Whether we're going for a walk, running errands, or just relaxing at home, I'm happiest when I'm part of whatever you're doing. I have a playful side too, but I'm just as content soaking up affection and enjoying a quiet evening together. When I first arrived in foster care, I was a little unsure of everything around me. But with patience, love, and a safe place to land, I've been gaining confidence every day. It's been so exciting discovering how wonderful life can be when you know you're safe. I get along well with small dogs and appreciate slow introductions when meeting new canine friends. Sometimes larger dogs can feel a little overwhelming for me, so I'd love a family that understands that. More than anything, I'm looking for a forever home where I can continue to blossom, feel loved, and spend the rest of my days making my family smile. Maybe that family is yours? Transportation

I am located in Houston, TX, and transport is available out of state. We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas to your state or a neighboring state. These are ground transports using third-party vehicles (vans/buses) converted for dog transport. Each adopter has the ability to track the van using the app Life360, and receives updates from transport along the way. Facebook chats are another resource to stay informed on tracking dogs on transport. Please be able to use one of these available services if you wish to follow your adopted dog on transport.
