Yukon

Yukon is a handsome 6-year-old Rough Collie with a striking appearance, featuring a blue merle head, a predominantly white coat, and captivating heterochromatic eyes. This gentle soul is a true companion, enjoying leisurely walks, games of fetch, backyard explorations, and of course, plenty of snuggle time and treats. Yukon is a social butterfly, getting along wonderfully with both dogs and cats, and his calm, loving demeanor makes him an ideal household pet.

Ideal Home

Yukon prefers a home where he has the space to retreat when loud noises become overwhelming. As a herding breed, he has a tendency to try and herd people who are running. For this reason, families with no children or children aged 10 and older would be the best fit for Yukon. He thrives as an indoor companion animal, becoming a cherished part of the family. He is not suited to be an outdoor, garage, porch, or kennel dog.

Yukon is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Yukon may exhibit herding behaviors if people are running, so management of this is key. He enjoys having space to himself when things get a bit much, so providing him with a safe, quiet area to decompress is important.

Transportation

Yukon is currently in a private foster home and cannot be shipped. Visits can be arranged after an adoption questionnaire has been completed and submitted.
