Meet Russell, a handsome 56-pound Chow Chow mix with a cute black tongue. He is smart, energetic, affectionate, and loves cuddles, exploring a large yard, and spending time outside with his people. He is not a barker.

Ideal Home

Russell needs to be the only dog and ideally the only pet in the home. He has no experience with cats and does not get along with other dogs. Although he has always been good with children, a home without children is considered the best fit. His family should understand and work with his occasional crabbiness and resource-guarding tendencies.

Ongoing Health

Russell is neutered, microchipped, and described as very healthy. His adoption fee includes age-appropriate Bordetella, DH(L)PP, and rabies vaccinations, heartworm and flea/tick preventives, and deworming.

Training & Support

Russell is fully housebroken, uses a crate occasionally, and knows basic commands plus additional training. He enjoys learning and engaging with his people. His trainer’s contact information can be provided to help his new family support his transition.
