Daisy is a survivor in every sense of the word. When Animal Control picked her up, she was in terrible condition and fighting to stay alive. Neglected, severely underweight, and missing much of her hair, it was obvious this girl had suffered extreme cruelty for a very long time. The amazing part? She still loves people. Despite everything she has been through, Daisy remains gentle, affectionate, and incredibly sweet. Her coat is growing back now, though you can still see thin spots where her body is healing from the neglect she endured. Every single week she looks a little healthier, a little stronger, and a little more hopeful. Daisy is friendly with dogs her size, affectionate with people, resilient beyond words, and learning what safety and kindness feel like. We are unsure how she does with cats, so slow introductions and caution would be recommended. Daisy doesn't need perfection. She doesn't need fancy. She doesn't need someone looking for a flawless dog. She needs someone who sees past the scars and understands just how special a dog like this truly is. Because the dogs who have every reason not to trust humans... yet choose to love anyway? Those are the ones that change you forever.
