Winnie is the kind of dog who leans in – literally and emotionally. Rescued as a lost dog, Winnie's story started in a tough way; she was found abandoned in the hallway of an apartment building with no one coming forward for her. But despite it all, this 2-year-old, 55lb girl has held onto so much love to give. Winnie is incredibly affectionate and happiest when she's close to her people. She'll gently lean into you for pets, comfort, and even a little shared warmth on chilly days. She's the kind of dog who just wants to be by your side – your quiet, steady companion. She's also a big fan of snacks (not picky in the slightest), which makes her both easy to win over and a great candidate for continued training. Winnie already knows "sit" and is more than ready to keep learning, especially if treats are involved. Sweet, loving, and full of potential, Winnie is ready for a fresh start with someone who won't let her down again.
