Meet Habanero! This 2-year-old, 14-pound Terrier mix is a sweetheart with a gentle soul and a heart full of love. While he might be a little shy when meeting new people, he warms up quickly and, once he trusts you, becomes the ultimate cuddle buddy. His favorite place is curled up in your lap, soaking up plenty of pets and massages from his favorite humans. Habanero is completely house-trained and has not had a single accident since arriving in his foster home. He's also crate-trained and settles quietly in his kennel without a peep.
Ideal Home
Habanero would thrive in a home with another playful canine companion to help build his confidence and keep him entertained. He does bark at cats, so while he might learn to coexist with them with consistent training and proper introductions, a cat-free home might be best for an easier transition.
Ongoing Health
Habanero has a soft, wiry coat that requires regular professional grooming, about four times a year. He may have some allergies, and we are working on a diet change for him. He is up to date on all age-appropriate vaccines and is neutered.
Training & Support
Habanero is house-trained and crate-trained. While new situations can make him a little nervous, he has shown no aggression. He is a kind, loving boy looking for a patient family that will give him the time to settle in and blossom.
