Swayze

Meet Swayze, a resilient and loving 2-year-old Belgian Sheepdog/German Shepherd mix. This handsome 72-pound boy is a true survivor, having overcome severe leg injuries after being hit by a car. Despite his past hardships, Swayze's spirit is bright, and he greets the world with a heart full of love and an eagerness for connection. He adores belly rubs, gentle hugs, and showering his favorite people with kisses. Once he bonds with you, Swayze becomes your most devoted companion, always ready for a good play session with his toys or a zoomie in the yard. He's a smart, curious, and adventurous soul who thrives on being outdoors.

Ideal Home

Swayze would thrive in a calm home with dog-savvy teens (15+) and adults. A secure yard is a must for this clever explorer. He would do best as the only pet in the household, allowing him to receive all the attention and structure he deserves.

Ongoing Health

Swayze has a history of severe injuries to both hind legs from being hit by a car.

Training & Support

Swayze is a smart and curious dog. Providing him with consistency, structure, and plenty of attention will help him continue to thrive.

• Please note our volunteer-run process can take up to 10 days.
