My name is Simba and I am a 7-year-old sweet boy who was surrendered to the shelter due to no fault of my own. My previous family loved me very much, but they felt they did not have the proper time and attention to give me anymore, so I am here at the shelter looking for a new family. I am a cuddly boy that loves to give kisses! I am protective of my family, and I did well with the young children in my home. Because of my living situation before my previous family, I can be nervous around new people, especially men. This means I will need some patience when you come to meet me, and I wouldn't thrive well in a home that has frequent visitors that I don't know. I am a very good boy that knows quite a few tricks, like sit and shake, and I can be left in my home while you leave without needing a crate. I love to play with balls, stuffed toys, frisbees, squeaky toys, and ropes! Imagine how much fun we could have together!

A patient home that can give me time to warm up to new people, especially men. I would not thrive well in a home with frequent visitors that I don't know.

Training & Support

I am a very good boy that knows quite a few tricks, like sit and shake, and I can be left in my home while you leave without needing a crate. However, to get me used to your new home setting and routine, staff recommend using a crate to get me started and for me to have a safe place to be!
