A little about them
Mattie was found in the middle of a busy intersection and spent a long weekend in her finder’s garage, where she did great with the finder’s 5-year-old son. After no family came forward, this sweet, gentle girl is ready for a home of her own. She is always happy to see people, with a constantly wagging tail, and she keeps a neat kennel.
Ideal Home
Mattie was nervous and fearful when meeting dogs, so slow introductions and continued socialization are recommended. A gentle, respectful canine companion may be a good fit. Her interactions with cats are unknown. Meet-and-greets with household dogs and children are recommended before adoption.
Ongoing Health
Mattie is a 3-year-old, 44.8-pound spayed female. She is microchipped and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines and preventatives. Adopters will need to establish ongoing veterinary care.
Training & Support
Mattie keeps a neat kennel and is believed to be housebroken. Remember the 3-3-3 Rule: allow 3 days to decompress, 3 weeks to settle in, and 3 months to build trust.
