RANGER

Meet Ranger! He's a wonderful dog who just needs a little extra time to feel comfortable. Ranger can be a bit shy and reserved at first, but once he warms up, he's a cuddlebug who loves to lean in for pets and rest his head on your lap. He absolutely adores dog biscuits and animal crackers!

Ideal Home

Ranger would thrive with a patient adopter who understands that he needs a gentle introduction to new people and situations. Because he can be a bit protective or reactive when initially meeting new individuals or going to the vet, he needs to be muzzled and wear a special collar during these times until he feels more secure. He also needs a home where his food can be kept separate, as he's a big fan of treats and may try to snag food from other pets if given the chance. Ranger also prefers to be the center of attention and can become a bit jealous if he has to share.

Training & Support

Ranger has a tendency to steal human food if he sees an opportunity, so keeping a close eye on him is important. He needs to be fed in his crate to ensure he eats only his own food. His adopter should be prepared to continue working with him on building trust and confidence in new situations, especially during introductions and vet visits.
