Bear is a handsome 3-year-old Australian Shepherd/German Shepherd mix looking for a fresh start and a family to love. He was living with a family with 3 special needs kids, but the family has recently lost their home. At 65 pounds, he’s a sturdy, lovable guy with a big heart and an even bigger personality. Bear absolutely adores people and thrives on affection. Belly rubs, butt scratches, and spending time with his humans are some of his favorite things. He also enjoys relaxing with a good chew bone and having space to stretch out in the yard.

Ideal Home

Bear is looking for a loving foster or forever home where he won’t be left alone and can enjoy the companionship he deserves. He would do best with an owner who understands active, working-breed dogs and can provide structure, consistency, and guidance.

Ongoing Health

Bear is neutered, vaccinated, and his vet records are available.

Training & Support

He completed a three-week training program with Upstate Kennels and has a solid foundation with commands like sit, down, stay, and heel. He may need a little refresher, but he’s a smart dog who already knows the basics and has great potential to continue learning.
