Riggs

Riggs is a sweet, gentle, and shy nine-month-old Anatolian Shepherd. He came to us from a hoarding case with over 40 dogs. While the dogs were fed and kept reasonably clean, they didn't receive enough socialization. Riggs is a natural introvert and a softer dog who prefers a calm approach and time to adjust. He is still catching up on some of the basics of everyday life.

Ideal Home

Riggs does well with other dogs and cats and would thrive with a confident, friendly dog companion to help him feel more secure. He needs a fenced yard for safety and to help him feel comfortable away from loud noises, sudden commotion, or questionable human sounds. He would do best in a home with children over 10 years old, as he's not a fan of screeching, grabbing, running, or young children with excessive energy. Riggs prefers a laid-back environment with a consistent indoor temperature around 72 degrees. Loud holidays like the Fourth of July are not his favorite, and he'd appreciate if his new family plans accordingly.
