Soft eyes and gentle energy describe Smokey perfectly! This young mixed-breed girl boasts a beautiful black coat, soulful eyes, and a calm presence that’s instantly soothing. At approximately 35 pounds, she's the ideal size – big enough for adventures but gentle enough to fit seamlessly into your life. Smokey has a sweet, easygoing nature. She enjoys playing with her siblings but isn't overwhelming; she knows how to have fun and then settle down happily. Her quiet steadiness makes her seem older and wiser than her years. Smokey confidently and warmly greets new people, quickly showing her social side. She's comfortable being handled, loves attention, and easily adapts to new environments. Her calm curiosity makes her observant, friendly, and eager to be part of what's happening around her.
Having grown up with other dogs, Smokey is incredibly social and loves canine companionship. She plays beautifully with others and understands doggy social cues. She's submissive and easygoing, happy to go with the flow, and would thrive with another friendly dog. However, she's also adaptable enough to do well as an only pet.
Ideal Home
Smokey would thrive in a home with another friendly dog, but she can also do well as an only pet. We recommend homes with children 10 years and over to ensure the best fit for both Smokey and the family.

Smokey is still learning basic skills and will need guidance with leash manners and crate training. She is eager to please and responds well to gentle correction, always wanting to do the right thing.

Transportation
Smokey is currently being fostered in Texas and will be transported to her forever home by our rescue. We have transports departing each week.
