Meet Trout! This handsome fellow was once on the euthanasia list at a local shelter, but thankfully, his foster mom saw his plea for help and saved his life. Now, he's ready to find his forever adventure buddy!

Trout might look like an energetic athlete, but he's surprisingly chill. He enjoys hikes and playtime with his dog friends, but his favorite activity is relaxing on the couch. He can be a little shy when first meeting new people, needing a few minutes to warm up. Once he trusts you, he's a loyal companion. He's kennel and potty trained, walks well on a leash, and knows "sit." He gets along with other dogs but may be too interested in squirrels and cats, so a home without them would be best.

Ideal Home

Trout's dream home is one that includes him in life's adventures, like camping trips, fishing weekends, and cozy evenings by the fire. A home without cats would be ideal.

Ongoing Health

Trout is currently undergoing heartworm treatment.

Training & Support

Trout absolutely despises taking medicine and will cleverly spit it out. Be prepared for a challenge when it comes to administering any necessary medications!
