Meet Leo, a 10-month-old Dachshund/Hound mix with an adorable face and a personality to match! Leo is bursting with energy, curiosity, and love, making him a playful and exciting companion. He's like a furry toddler who keeps life interesting and full of fun.

Ideal Home

Leo would thrive in a home with a fenced-in yard where he can safely zoom and explore. He would also love to have at least one other playful dog to wrestle and romp with. Due to his vocal nature, condo or apartment living is not suitable for Leo. He is best suited for an older, energetic retired couple or individuals who work from home.

Ongoing Health

Leo is up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations and has participated in spay/neuter programs. As with any young pup, it's important to note that all small pups need to be adopted by children old enough to understand how to be respectful and gentle when handling them.

Training & Support

Leo is currently working with a trainer on "stranger danger," where he becomes vocal and retreats. With continued guidance and positive reinforcement, he can build confidence in new situations. His trainers believe he is best suited for a quieter household where he can feel secure.

• If you live in an apartment or condo, we will need to verify permission from your landlord or condo board.
• Once approved, you will receive an adoption contract with details about pickup and the remaining adoption fee.
