Gina is an 8-month-old, 56lb, spayed female Belgian Malinois mix with a heart full of love and a playful spirit! She was found abandoned as a tiny puppy, sleeping in a cardboard box by a busy road. Despite her rough start, Gina is now thriving in a loving foster home and is ready to find her forever family.
Ideal Home
Gina would thrive in an active home with someone who can play with her daily. She enjoys the company of other dogs and would do best with a canine sibling to keep her entertained. She would also do well with a couple or someone living alone. While she hasn't been around children, she can be jumpy when excited, so a home with older, dog-savvy children (10 and up) would be ideal. A cat-free home is recommended, as she can be a bit too enthusiastic around neighborhood kitties.
Ongoing Health
Gina is a healthy pup. She is up-to-date on her vaccinations and spayed.
Training & Support
Gina is crate-trained and can stay in her crate for up to 8 hours with no accidents. She walks well on a leash and shows no signs of separation anxiety. She is still in the "puppy velociraptor" stage and needs guidance on appropriate chewing habits, but she is eager to learn and enjoys fetch. She prefers to eat her treats alone. Gina would benefit from continued socialization and positive reinforcement training to help her grow into a well-mannered adult.
