Meet Robin! This handsome 1-year-old Anatolian Shepherd mix, weighing around 85 pounds, is a special boy with a gentle heart and a quiet spirit. Robin came from a hoarding situation and is still learning what it means to be loved and how to trust. He's a thoughtful, sensitive soul who prefers calm environments and takes his time warming up to new people, places, and experiences. When startled, his instinct is to retreat to a safe space, but with consistency and kindness, he's blossoming beautifully. Robin truly shines around other dogs and would greatly benefit from a confident resident dog who can guide him and provide reassurance as he navigates the world. He's curious, treat-motivated, and has naturally good manners, not being the type to engage in mischievous behaviors. We're currently helping Robin gain some weight, and with good nutrition, he'll fill out into the magnificent boy he's meant to be. The bond you build with Robin won't happen overnight, but it will be incredibly rewarding as he discovers his own bravery, strength, and intelligence.
Ideal Home
Robin would thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard, a patient and understanding adopter who will let him progress at his own pace, and a confident resident dog. A calm environment where he can continue to learn that the world is a safe place is also ideal.
Ongoing Health
Robin is currently a bit lean for his size and is being helped to gain weight through good nutrition.
Training & Support
Robin is treat-motivated, responds well to gentle correction, and has naturally good manners. He needs a patient adopter who will let him build confidence and trust at his own pace.
