Riggs

Riggs is a sweet, gentle, and shy nine-month-old Anatolian Shepherd who came to us from a large hoarding case. While he was cared for, he didn't have the socialization opportunities he needed. Riggs is a natural introvert who prefers a calm approach and a little time to adjust to new situations. He does well with other dogs and cats, and will thrive with a confident canine sibling to show him the ropes.

Ideal Home

Riggs needs a fenced yard for safety and peace. He's not a fan of loud noises, sudden commotion, or questionable human sounds. He would do best in a home with older children (10+) who are calm and respectful, as he's not suited for the running, grabbing, or high-volume energy that younger children can bring. A laid-back household with a dog buddy is ideal for Riggs.

Training & Support

Riggs is still catching up on life's basics and needs structure, kindness, and time to blossom. He's not a fan of loud holidays like the Fourth of July, so a consistent, calm indoor temperature and environment is preferred.
